Open Rice Ring

Eponymously named after the Collection, a playful take on the Hong Kong phrase "open rice," the Open Rice Ring is a classy, everyday open ring. The sleek design features overlapping grains on either side of the opening, hand carved in sterling silver and polished with a matte brushed finish.

The ring then goes through a process of depletion gilding—a methodical technique of repeatedly heating and immersing the piece in acid. This leaves a beautiful white layer of pure, fine silver on the surface, emulating pearly white grains of rice. 

A Black Rice version of this classic stud is also available, made using oxidised sterling silver.
