Oriana Catton (b. 1995) is a London-based contemporary emerging artist born and raised in Hong Kong. Catton recently completed an MA in Jewellery & Metal at the Royal College of Art in August 2024. They have been selected as a finalist for the Emerging Woman Artist Award Summer 2024, and was nominated for the New Blood Art Emerging Art Prize 2024. Catton received their BA in Fine Art from Vassar College (NY) in 2017, with a focus in installation and performance. In recent years, Catton’s practice has shifted to encompass both large-scale work and contemporary jewellery and object.

Catton’s interdisciplinary practice spans performance, jewellery, installation, film, sculpture, and sound. Their current work innovatively reinterprets the definition of jewellery, inhabiting a liminal space that bleeds the boundaries between fine art, applied art, performance and craft. They have developed an emergent practice that poetically communicates meaning through wearable object, the body, and the relationship between them.

Catton has exhibited work internationally in London, the Netherlands, New York and across the East Coast of the US.
